The special tasting, which began in March and has been met with rave reviews, is run by staff at Lumine Omiya, with each staff member choosing their own theme.
This time, as part of our second special feature on great wines chosen by the Omiya store manager, we have prepared two recommended Chilean wines for fans of full-bodied red wine.
"ESCUDO ROJO Baronesa Pee" is an elegant and rich top cuvee produced in Chile by one of the world's leading Bordeaux winemakers.
The complex flavor is the result of the sophisticated blending techniques unique to Bordeaux producers. Fruit aromas such as blackcurrant, blackberry, and plum are layered with complex flavors such as cedar and espresso. The powerful yet refined tannins and clean acidity give it a Bordeaux feel.
"MONTES Muse" is a premium cuvee created by one of the founders of MONTES to commemorate the 50th anniversary of his career. Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the Maipo Valley, this wine has a concentrated fruitiness that fills the mouth, and the smooth tannins give the wine an elegant softness.
